Auditioners, remember:
1) Dress to move comfortably;
2) Bring ALL your paperwork (see the packet)...you must have this Day One or no fight choreo for you;
3) Arrive early to the auditorium stage on Day One (tomorrow, 11/29!) to check in and warmup;
4) Have fun!
We have auditions this week Tuesday thru Friday! Some folks have come and spoken about conflicts during some or part of that time. Here's what I have to say about that: Tuesday is required...it's a safety thing if we're putting a sword in your hands. Other than that, well, I suppose you do what you need to, but what I'll say here is that if I haven't seen enough of your work to be confident about your casting because you weren't available, I'm likely to go with someone with whom I've seen their work and I am confident. This is going to be a competitive process, and I will make the right decision for the best storytelling with the information I have available. If you feel confident you can convince me without being there the full time...let's see it!
As for you Crew types, remember:
1) Forms are due Thursday...no form, no consideration
2) Look over the required dates...we lost several crew members last show because they didn't know
3) Sign up for EVERY position for which you'd like to be considered...if you don't, I don't know you're good with it
4) The only positions that are called to Tech/Runs are Management, Run Crew, Costume Lead, Business Lead, and Hair/Makeup...everyone else's job ends at Tech (except for Strike...everyone comes to Strike)
5) If you just want to help, show up (except for Run Crew)! The only sign ups are for Lead and Apprentice positions. If you want to help, we can use you!
6) I'll tell you in advance, we're only taking 10 non-costume/makeup/business/management Run Crew Members...we loved including as many folks as we did, but we soooo ran out of jobs. It'll be a tough cut. Make sure you're giving me all your details!
I think that's it for now...I'm stoked, y'all!
