Actors:
You’ve done such an amazing job this week with your heart and fun, your good nature and energy, that you’ve made this beyond challenging. I will tell you that many decisions were made for me: both good (some truly role-winning choices) and technical (combat potential made some decisions for me). In the end, though, most roles had multiple people in contention until the bitter end, and y’all should be beyond proud of yourselves!!!
All Actors and Stage Mgmt/ASMs listed below should be ready to attend the MANDATORY rehearsal Monday, and should begin reading through the perusal script to get a handle on their roles…we dive in directly.
Leads/Apprentices:
1) Due to the huge number of applicants, many of whom I don't know, I've had to limit most positions to either those folks that I've already seen their work, or that gave me a bunch of useful info on their Crew Application.
2) For those I do know, there’s a new thing on this show that we’ll be carrying forward on future shows. The roles on the shows have changed to accommodate the increasing number of folks interested in, and capable of, supporting our crews.
Lead: Leaders in their particular field. They know the show process, their primary job is making sure things run smoothly, their secondary role is training future Leads on the show process.
Artisan: Active and committed. They have Apprenticed and know the show process, and have committed to being a vital part of the show. They’ll be at all the builds, and can handle their own.
Apprentice: Curious and committed. They’ll be at all the builds, and are learning the rhythm and routine of the show process. They’re maybe knowledgeable, maybe passionate, but definitely want to be a part of the team…now and in the future.
Company: Interested and available. They care about the production, the people, and/or the work, and want to help…but might have commitments beyond theatre, and can’t give the same time as others.
3) For all assigned to Run Crew or House Crew: These roles will see folks assigned to a variety of show-necessary tasks once we reach Tech Week. There is no way at this stage to know how many tasks will be necessary to set up, run, and strike each night the front of house or backstage (both part of the prospective assignment). We may ultimately have too many…or not enough crew members. If you commit to going forward on the Run/House Crews, be prepared to be very flexible in what you expect to do each night…there’s just no way to predict.
CAST OR CREW:
1) All Cast, Crew, Leads, Artisans, Apprentices, and Management/ASMs listed below should be ready to attend the MANDATORY rehearsal Tuesday, and should be ready to engage with the glorious team readying this show
.
2) If you have viewed this post, and accept your role on the show (onstage or offstage), please fill out the following Google Form before 900am Monday, 12/5. Let’s do this!
